Goods
We carry simple, storied goods of meaningful origin for purposeful use, hoping their stories live on and evolve with those who connect with them. In our shop you will find repurposed linens made of 100-year-old grain sacks, handbound journals of Italian workmanship, recycled woolens from Scotland and beyond, hand-turned and hand-forged tools for home and garden, and hand-selected foods to fill a larder. Each item is selected with care and consideration for both the maker and the patron. Origins matter insomuch as they shape our stories. And our stories are what shape us.

Gather
Part of our vision for Fernweh House was to be a space for people to know and to be known. Gatherings here could look like joyful celebrations, peaceful retreats or savored meals, but no matter the occasion, we hope to create a space that allows you to sit with others, to listen to their stories, to learn from their lives. We invite guests to share their vision for their time at Fernweh House so we can better support you.
Here we value open access and welcome our guests to see this land as somewhere they might visit again and again, for a picnic, a cup of tea, or a walk through the garden. As in Scotland, and as first peoples have in this region since time immemorial, we ask that guests respect the interests of others and care for the environment.
Fernweh House is a safe space for folks from all communities.

stay
Whether you ache for a place you have never been or a beautiful space to be near family or rest from the goings-on of everyday life, Fernweh House welcomes you! Situated in the southeast corner of Enumclaw, a thriving historic town in the shadow of Mt. Rainier, Fernweh House is a unique barn home in a park-like setting but a half mile from the Enumclaw Expo Center and Parking for the Crystal Mountain Shuttle.
We found Fernweh House from an ocean away, a little hectare situated between two hills, with an unkempt orchard, and a surround of gentle neighbors. Longing for something more than a place to reside, we wanted to create a new kind of space where we could connect with the land and with others and where others could make space to find the kind of connection they need. Fernweh House is an invitation to notice, slow down, heal, create and share. Today we are the keepers of this space, and you are invited to be our guests-turned-friends. Welcome.
